Russian opponent Navalny's state of health deemed too unstable, he cannot be transferred abroad

The main Russian opponent, Alexeï Navalny, placed in intensive care after suspected poisoning, will not be transferred abroad because of his "unstable" state of health, his spokesman said on Friday, denouncing a decision which "threatens his life ».

The chief medical officer has announced that Navalny is not transportable. His condition is unstable, "Kira Iarmych said on Twitter, saying it would be" deadly dangerous to leave him in the unequipped hospital in Omsk with a diagnosis still not made .

 No care in Germany

A medical plane left Germany on Friday morning to pick up Alexei Navalny from his hospital in Siberia where the Russian opponent is in intensive care, German media reported.

The plane left Nuremberg (southern Germany) at 3:11 a.m., according to the Bild daily. The president of a German NGO had previously assured AFP that the Berlin Charité Hospital was ready to welcome Alexeï Navalny, who has been in serious condition since Thursday morning after a malaise in a plane, which his entourage attributes to "intentional" poisoning.

Given his state of health, the Russian opponent will therefore not be able to be taken care of in Berlin as things stand.
