Marilane, 36, was missing after getting lost while trying to visit her family: her decomposing body was found in a container

The body of the mother of three was found in her car, which was inside a container.

On August 3, Marilane Carte called her parents for the last time. Looking confused, the 36-year-old mom said she kept getting lost as she wanted to travel to Alabama and then Kansas to buy anxiety treatment and visit family.

A trip that ended prematurely that day. Last seen in a Missouri hotel, the mother of three had not given a sign of life since the call. After two weeks of intensive searches, Marilane's body was unfortunately found.

It was his uncle who made the gruesome discovery while walking around the area where his phone had given its last signal. He found the thirty-something's SUV before discovering a container a little further away, in a field. The door was open and inside was a rotting body. If this has not yet been officially identified, the police confirm that the car belonged to Marilane

His death is not considered suspicious. “I believe it all happened on its own initiative,” the Crittenden County Sheriff told US media. For her part, Marilane's mother explains having "been in contact with her throughout the trip, but then, halfway through the trip, she started to seem confused and disoriented.
